The Orillia Fine Arts Association will open its Mary Rose Holiday Fundraiser Saturday at Hibernation Arts on Peter Street. OFAA board members, MJ Pollak, left, and Lynn Stokes are shown with the art.

The Orillia Fine Arts Association (OFFA) is having an opening on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Hibernation Arts, for the Mary Rose Holiday Fundraiser.

The OFFA provides The Mary Rose Bursary to a graduating student from each of the high schools in Orillia, who is pursuing post-secondary art education.

Money for the bursary is raised through an annual yard sale and through an annual art sale, as well.

Members of OFAA have been invited to produce original pieces of art for this fundraiser. They are mounted in 5 x 7 matts ready to be dropped into standard sized frames. The art will be unveiled Saturday and will be available throughout the month of December.

These pieces will be sold for $20 each and all proceeds will be going to the Mary Rose Bursary. The bursary is named after Mary Rose in honour of a former member who left OFAA with many art materials which were sold to create the fund.
