ORILLIA LAWN BOWLING CLUB

The Orillia Lawnbowling Club felt a bit like "the land down under" today.
Susan Bassett and Peter White from Orillia won today’s Mixed Australian Pairs Lawnbowling Tournament sponsored by John Mayo of Nesbitt Burns.
Second place went to Ron O’Sullivan (Midland), third went to Sarah O’Shea (Collingwood) and fourth-place honours went to Orillia’s Robb Barsevich.
Australian pairs is unique in that it allows both players to alternate between the lead and skip positions, requiring extra skill and challenge.
The Orillia Lawnbowling Club is a friendly, non-profit club situated on Commerce Drive beside the Orillia Fire Department’s Station 2.
The club encourages newcomers and visitors.
Each week, there is open draw bowling: On Monday nights and Friday mornings.
