Both guests and staff of the Fairfield By Marriott Orillia came together to help donate and help raise money for The Sharing Place Food Centre here in Orillia.
Local businesses in our area helped by coming together to assist us in raising money by donating prizes. These prizes were won by those guests who helped donate to this great cause. With the help of everyone involved, a total of $1,100 was raised collectively for The Sharing Place Orillia. The staff of The Sharing Place Orillia had these things to say:
“The Fairfield by Marriott in Orillia is a valuable community partner and ongoing supporter of The Sharing Place. Their donation helps us make an impact on food security in our community by supporting our core programs. We are grateful for their support and the assistance it allows us to provide to those who are struggling.”
“April was our School Fuel month, and every donation qualified for a match by Home Hardware. This contribution by the Fairfield Marriott in Orillia is now going to have twice the impact, which is very much needed; we have seen the demand for food assistance rise considerably over the last year. Fairfield by Marriott is providing the type of community support that we rely on to keep providing for the growing numbers of food insecure in our community.”
The team at the Fairfield Inn Orillia tries to help the community whenever possible, and we all look forward to the next opportunity to help out.
