With a Vision of We are One Community, OSMH (Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital) officially launched its new Strategic Plan last night during the hospital’s virtual Annual General Meeting.  The Plan was endorsed by the OSMH Board of Directors earlier this year following extensive consultation with the OSMH team along with many partner organizations, patients, families and caregivers.

The new strategic plan comes at a critical point of healthcare transformation, emerging from the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our strategic plan sets ambitious goals, focusing on what is most important to the people we serve,” said Carmine Stumpo, OSMH President and CEO.  “This plan will see OSMH invest in our most important resource, our people, modernize healthcare delivery, and develop stronger relationships with our community partners as we continue to integrate health care.”

A new addition to the plan is a Shared Purpose, co-created with members of the Couchiching Ontario Health Team:

We are a community that is committed to improving health and wellness.   Together, we will achieve our goal through system co-design in a culturally safe and meaningful way.

“The hospital board is very excited to endorse this new Strategic Plan.  The Values espoused in the Plan resonate strongly across OSMH.  We look forward to improving health and wellness as one community,” said Board Chair Leigh Popov.
