NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA VOCAL ENSEMBLE
*************************
If you love to sing and support your community, the Orillia Vocal Ensemble (OVE) has a place for you.

The OVE will be resuming rehearsals and welcoming new members on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

The OVE is a community choir led by music director Blair Bailey that has raised well over $150,000 for local charities through their performances over the years. The most recent concert for Couchiching Conservancy raised almost $7,000 and at the upcoming spring concert on May 17, Born to Read will be the beneficiary.

The Born to Read early literacy initiative in Orillia and area has been giving two new children’s books to each new baby born at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) since March 2019. Born to Read is a partnership with the Orillia Public Library, OSMH and Manticore Books, co-ordinated by a dedicated community group.

If you are interested in joining the OVE, please come to St. Paul’s Centre, 62 Peter St. N., Orillia, on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. You are welcome to try it out and see how it feels. For more information, visit the OVE at orilliavocalensemble.com.
