ATRIUM RETIREMENT RESIDENCE

Atrium residents cheered on their special volunteers during a recent Volunteer Appreciation lunch.

The event was themed ‘Atrium volunteers help us grow’, which is a testament to how much care and love Atrium residents receive from community volunteers who give their time each week during Bible study, pet therapy, knitting and gardening club.

Lana May, Life Enrichment Manager at the Atrium, acknowledged all Atrium’s wonderful volunteers, including Atrium’s own ‘Ambassadors’. These lovely ladies give back to their home by welcoming new residents, helping residents to activities, pouring tea during special events and assisting in the dining room, seating fellow residents.

Residents and volunteers participated in an afternoon of music with Bob Cook and enjoyed refreshments ... including Henry, Atrium’s pet therapy pooch who has been visiting every week with his owner, George, for the past 10 years. Henry is spoiled and loved by all residents and staff who look forward to his visit each week.
