Although the founders of CiaoChowCiao at 8626 Highway 12 West are winding down their successful fry trailer to head into well-deserved retirement, they’re not calling it quits on the food business altogether.

Theresa Filicetti and Todd Frenette celebrate the next chapter in their lives, and two years of having a robot on staff that will continue to serve up tasty, gourmet pizza from their PizzaForno kiosk 24/7, while they enjoy the sun south of the border.

“It’s great because from afar, we’ll still provide residents with the town’s only 24/7 food and gourmet pizza option, while also giving back to the community — and earning a passive income,” said Todd Frenette. “It’s a win for everyone.”

To celebrate the two-year anniversary of their PizzaForno kiosk, and new beginnings, the couple will donate $1 from each pizza sale made each Monday until Dec. 31 to the Sharing Place, a local food bank that provides emergency assistance to those in need.

PizzaForno is an automated pizza machine that holds 70 fully prepared pre-boxed pizzas made fresh and replenished frequently. As soon as the customer selects their preferred menu item, the state-of-the-art oven gives the customer the option to take-n-bake or bake the 12-inch premium artisan pizza in under three minutes. It is then served by a robotic arm.

With the touch of a screen, the PizzaForno kiosk serves up artisanal, pizzeria-style pizzas: barbecue chicken, honey and goat cheese, meat lovers, four cheese, pepperoni, veggie, and Hawaiian, ranging from $11 to $14 each. Pizzas feature quality meats, cheeses, veggies, and homemade tomato sauces. The dough is made with a secret recipe of six all-natural ingredients.
