NEWS RELEASE
RAMARA TOWNSHIP
************************
This week is National Volunteer Week and at Ramara Township, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude towards all our volunteers who have been working tirelessly for the betterment of our community. We want to celebrate and acknowledge all the positive contributions they have made to our community.

National Volunteer Week, which runs from April 14 to 20, is a week set aside each year to recognize and thank the volunteers who impact not only Ramara, but those across across Canada. This year's theme, "Every Moment Matters," emphasizes the importance of our volunteers who strive to strengthen inclusivity and well-being in our community by sharing their time, skills, knowledge, and empathy which is vital to creating strong and healthy communities.

"Every year, our volunteers help clean up our trailsand parks, collect and sort donations, beautify our streets and organize special events for our community to enjoy," states Mayor Basil Clarke. "I want to thank all of our volunteers for their valuable contributions to our community and for continually improving and shaping our community to make it a better place to live."

We would like to extend our heartfelt recognition and gratitude to all our volunteers in the Township of Ramara. Your service on our boards, committees, and commissions enriches our community, and your dedication, time, experience, and knowledge are invaluable.

If you are interested in joining our volunteer community, where you can learn new skills, gain experience, and have fun, please visit our website at www.ramara.ca/volunteering.
