NEWS RELEASE
RAMARA PUBLIC LIBRARY
*************************

Library staff are thrilled to announce that both library branches will be reopening on Tuesday, July 6 at 10 a.m. and returning to normal business operating hours.

All visitors of either library branch must wear a face covering, respect physical distancing of two metres and complete the COVID-19 screening assessment at the front desk upon arrival. To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, anyone entering either branch is requested to use the hand sanitizer available at the front entrance. Visitors are also encouraged to practice safe hand hygiene and use other hand sanitizing stations that available throughout the library while in-house.

Patrons and community members are encouraged to visit their local branch to browse and borrow materials and/or use the computers and WiFi. Computers are available for use, but are limited due to physical distancing requirements (two in Brechin and four at the Ramara Centre branch).

Please note that your library card is required and everyone must bring their own ear buds (also available to purchase for $4/set) for computers and personal devices. At present, curbside pickup will still be available for those wishing to use this service. Capacity limits will be in place with a maximum of 25 people in the Ramara Centre branch at one time and five visitors in the Brechin branch. Cash paid services, such as printing, faxing, photocopying, etc. will be available. Dog tags will also be available to purchase for $50 cash.

Effective July 6, materials can be dropped off at the front desk when you visit or in the drop box during closed hours, and fines will be reinstated on late returns of borrowed items. We encourage patrons to please return all overdue material as soon as possible. Programs are still being offered virtually at this time and registration is available online, via email or by contacting either branch.

You may contact the library by email ([email protected]) or by calling 705-325-5776 or 705-484-0476 should you have any questions. We welcome, and look forward to, having our community back into the branches again. Our main priority continues to be the health and safety of our community and staff!
