Arts Orillia, in partnership with Orillia Concert Association, brings you a remarkable concert of cello and dance on May 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Empty Space | Empty Time, Gordon Lightfoot Theatre. Don’t miss Empty Space | Empty Time with Worlds Within.
We are thrilled to host these exceptional artists as they make their way across Canada and Europe. The evening features solo musical performances by internationally renowned Canadian cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne with dance collaborations by award-winning choreographer Yvonne Coutts.
This is a wordless conversation between two powerful bodies of work – one that expresses through movement, the other through sound. Poetically spatial and highly physical, dancers Amanda Bon, Jaqueline Ethier, Alya Graham, and Sarah Hopkin sensitively embody the energetic swells of sorrow and solace through Weinroth-Browne’s looping composition of notes.
