Please be advised that Matchedash Street South between Mississaga Street East and Colborne Street East will remain closed until March 2020 for the construction of Matchedash Lofts.
The original Road Occupancy Permit (ROP) for Demikon Construction was set to expire on Oct. 25, 2019. Demikon requested an extension to the ROP earlier this month and an extension was granted to March 6, 2020. Demikon will then have two weeks to restore the road surface for the road to be re-opened on March 20, 2020.
The section of Matchedash Street South will be re-opened in advance of the second phase of the Front Street reconstruction project (from Colborne Street East to Laclie Street), which is anticipated to start in spring 2020 pending capital budget approval.
