The young adult service club, Rotaract Orillia, is calling on all Orillia residents to give back this spooky season.

This October, consider giving non-perishable food items as well as sweet treats. Aware of the horrific reality that is food insecurity, Rotaract is hoping to collect as many donations as possible for the Sharing Place.

This Halloween, Rotaract Orillia members will be going door-to-door “trick-or-eating” — asking households for food donations in lieu of candy.

Rotaract Orillia has also partnered with Royal LePage Orillia to provide a donation drop-off location to those that are interested.

If Rotaract doesn’t collect from your place Halloween night, they kindly ask that you drop off your food bank donations at Royal LePage Orillia (19 Andrew St. N.). Royal LePage will be collecting on behalf of the Rotaract club Oct. 29 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Oct. 30 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Nov. 1 (9 a.m to 5 p.m.), Nov. 2 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Nov. 3 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Nov. 4 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Nov. 5 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
