RUSHMOUNT TRILLIUM SHOW TEAM

Rushmount Trillium Show Team went above and beyond to make their coach, Heidi Mueller, proud!
On Wednesday, Aug. 29, the team, consisting of Mueller’s 10-year-old daughter Hayden McCahon, Devon Caitling, Hailee VanDusen and Malorie Harris, took to the road with their mounts to Palgrave to attend Trillium Championships.
Here, the top seven of seven zones come together to compete against the best of the best in the province. Mueller was proud to announce that not only did they win a class and get a Reserve Championship but also each team member won at least two ribbons in their respective divisions.
Highlights include:
- Hayden McCahon claiming 1st place out of 47 riders in the 1m Jumper Class as well as McCahon taking the Reserve Championship of the division, receiving a championship cooler, trophy ribbon and prize money.
- McCahon also placed 9th in the mini prix with the fastest time on course but two rails brought her from first to 9th position on her mount Silver Rush.
- Silver Rush and McCahon will be aiming to be in the Royal Winter Fair in the Pony Jumpers along with Sydney Freeman on No Rhyme No Reason. Sydney captured Reserve Champion at Angelstone while the rest of the team was at Champs .
- Hailee VanDusen on Ever So Clever captured two ribbons and two victory gallops as a result. VanDusen won 4th in the 1m division and 9th in the Mini Prix.Devon Caitlng on Trompe Le Monde won their 3rd place in the Mini Prix and got to victory gallop.
- Last but not least our Team Captain also Lakehead Team Captain Malorie Harris won 3rd,5th and 7th out of 49 in the .90m Jumper Division.
