Severn seeking feedback on possible arts, culture centre

Township of Severn is working in partnership with Lakehead University to complete a feasibility study for a property located in Port Severn that was donated to the municipality.

This project is funded in part by the Mitacs Business Strategy Internship program.

This initial phase of the project will include research and stakeholder consultation to help evaluate the potential for the bequeathed waterfront property to be redeveloped as a centre for arts, culture, recreation and/or heritage programming serving residents and visitors of the Port Severn area.

Residents and visitors will be invited to participate in a variety of engagement opportunities, including:

Comments and responses will be included in the initial feasibility report, and will play an important part in helping Severn determine the future use of the bequeathed property.

Take the survey

The survey is open to residents and visitors of Port Severn and the surrounding area. All residents of Severn are encouraged to complete the survey. If you do not reside in the Township of Severn, but you frequently access services in this area, you are also invited to take the survey.

The survey opened on Jan. 25 and will remain open until March 1 at 4 p.m.
