Southern wins big in ringette action

Ringette competition continues all weekend

The quest to become ringette’s best got underway Thursday at Brian Orser Arena.

The Southern Region and Central Region teams kicked off the Orillia 2018 Ontario Winter Games girls ringette action, with Southern winning by a decisive 7-1 score.

Ringette will continue Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Gill Street facility, and the pressure is on for the athletes. Team Ontario coaches are on hand to evaluate their performance and see if they have what it takes to make it to the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alta.
