The popularity of summer Art Walks in Orillia has prompted artists to offer a winter version.

Galleries in the Arts District on Peter Street South welcome visitors to check them out Nov. 26 from 12 to 5 p.m., to browse and possibly find some unique Christmas gifts.

Artists will be on hand at some of the locations to discuss their work, and there will be some special holiday prices.

Local artists offer everything from painting and stitching to wood and metal work, with styles ranging from nature to abstract, in sizes from inches to six feet wide.

Those who purchase items can enter a draw that will be held after the event.

Participating businesses include Three Birds Salon, Three Crows Speak, Blossom, the Shadow Box, Hibernation Arts, Peter Street Fine Arts, Tiffin’s Creative Centre, and the Orillia Museum of Art and History.
