This Mother’s Day, State & Main is helping families celebrate Mom while fundraising for a great local cause.

Through their annual For Mom, For Women campaign, State & Main is donating $10 to Green Haven Shelter for Women for every fulfilled Mother’s Day reservation from May 6 to May 14 at their Orillia restaurant location.

The campaign, which will take place in 23 different cities across Canada, is focusing on raising funds for non-profits that support women in their communities. The campaign is aiming to raise up to $30,000 for deserving charities.

In Orillia, State & Main is partnering with Green Haven Shelter for Women, which provides supportive services to women with lived experiences of violence and assists in their journey towards personal empowerment and autonomy. Green Haven Shelter for Women offers 24/7 crisis support to women experiencing violence or abuse in Orillia and the surrounding area.

“Moms always give so much of their time and love and are often the silent heroes in our communities,” says Richard Homer-Dixon, vice-president, State & Main brand leader.

“This Mother’s Day, we’re encouraging Canadians to give back to the person who always gives so much — Mom. The For Mom, For Women campaign will celebrate the moms in your life while also giving back to local organizations who are helping women thrive and making our cities better places to live," said Homer-Dixon.

“It is an honour to be a part of the State & Main Mother’s Day campaign,” says Norma Alford, executive director of Green Haven Shelter for Women. “It is always a joy to see the ways in which our community comes together to support women, and State & Main has certainly been creative with their support. We thank everyone who comes out that week to celebrate women and community.”

State & Main has one restaurant location in Orillia. Mother’s Day reservations often fill up quickly, so it’s recommended that guests book as early as possible. Guests who want to participate in this campaign can make reservations for May 6 to May 14 through State & Main’s website at stateandmain.ca, and then by selecting “reserve a table.”
