Bracebridge OPP have arrested two local residents, in separate incidents, for drug-related and impaired driving charges respectively.

On Sunday at around 5:30 p.m. OPP officers began investigating a stolen vehicle complaint in Bracebridge. Shortly after 11:30 p.m. officers located the vehicle on Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst.

As a result of their investigation, police have charged one occupant of the vehicle, 40-year-old Erin Krawetz of Gravenhurst, with possession of a Schedule I substance.

The vehicle was returned to the registered owner. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 6 to answer to her charge.

Meanwhile, a tip from the public helped Bracebridge OPP nab an alleged impaired driver.

On April 21 at 11:30 p.m., a citizen alerted police about an erratic driver on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst.

A Bracebridge OPP officer located the vehicle near Cedar Lane in Bracebridge and conducted a traffic stop. As a result of that investigation, police have charged 30-year-old Joshua Brown of Bracebridge with operation while impaired and over 80 CC.

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on May 16 to answer to his charges.
