Subaru’s annual March Break Meltdown Ski Day at the Heights of Horseshoe raised over $4,300 for Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. All proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will go towards the hospital’s cancer care program.

“We’re so thankful for amazing community organizations like Subaru of Orillia, who go above and beyond for their community hospital,” said Lisa Wanamaker, development officer, Annual Giving. “Proceeds from this event will go a long way to improving patient care in OSMH’s oncology program.”

The successful event was held on March 12, and saw many attendees make their way out to the slopes for a day of skiing and snowboarding. Robert Stein, President of Subaru of Orillia, says it’s important to support local healthcare.

“With many of our staff and customers living in the Orillia region, we understand firsthand the importance of having cancer care, close to home,” said Stein. “We are proud to be a supporter of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and their ongoing efforts to support patients and their families.”
