Following a successful 28-show tour of Ontario schools that engaged nearly 3,400 students this past fall, Sheatre's Far From the Heart / Loin du Coeur will set out once again the week of Valentine's Day for 10 stops in the GTA, York, Simcoe, and Niagara regions.

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, an opportunity for school boards across the province to start important conversations on consent and sexual violence.

Schools interested in booking a presentation of Far From the Heart from Feb. 11-16 can email [email protected] or [email protected]for the French adaptation.

In the interactive play, audience members have the opportunity to step into action and change the outcome of the scenarios performed on stage.

As a result, students get a rehearsal for reality, learning through theatre how to resolve conflicts, negotiate relationships, and avoid risk. A half-hour discussion with professional counsellors from local community groups immediately follows each show.

Sheatre closed out its 2018 tour with two livestreams of Far From the Heart/Loin du Coeur that are currently available for viewing at sheatre.com
