APPLIED SUICIDE INTERVENTION SKILLS TRAINING

Are you interested in helping those who might be considering suicide?
A local group is hosting a two-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) program.
ASIST is a two-day interactive workshop. The intention of the workshop is to prepare participants to use the Pathway for Assisting Life method of suicide intervention.
ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety.
This workshop is open to anyone over age 16 who wants to help create a suicide-safer community.
, workshop will be held Monday Sept. 30 and Tuesday Oct. 1, 2019 in Orillia from 8:30 a.m. to 430 p.m. both days.
Cost is $170 (discounts available for students).
