'Suspicious' fire causes $750k damage to Gravenhurst business

The Ontario Fire Marshal's fire investigations unit has been called in to investigate the early morning blaze at the Gravenhurst Wharf

An early-morning fire at a business at the Gravenhurst Wharf has caused extensive damage to the commercial enterprise.

All Gravenhurst fire stations responded this morning to a structure fire at Muskoka Boat Rentals on Steamship Bay Road.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire and damage was contained to the building. However, officials estimate the blaze caused $750,000 in damages.

The cause is "believed to be suspicious," say fire department officials.

The Ontario Fire Marshal's fire investigations unit has been called in to investigate.

There were no injuries reported.
