Swimmers from Orillia high schools make a splash at OFSAA

'It was fun to see so many people having the opportunity to compete at a provincial championship,' said Grade 11 OSS swimmer

Swimmers from all three local high schools recently competed at the OFSAA championships in Windsor — the first OFSAA swimming event since March 2020.

The top 50 qualifiers in each event from 18 regions across the province qualified for the largest OFSAA championship on record.

With more than 2,000 swimmers, it is also one of the largest swim meets in North America.

“It was fun to see so many people having the opportunity to compete at a provincial championship," said Evie Cooke, a Grade 11 swimmer from Orillia Secondary School.
