Some unwanted house guests ended up in hot water with the Orillia OPP.
On Thursday afternoon, Orillia OPP officers were called to a residence on West Street North, where two individuals refused to leave the residence.
Police arrested the pair for being unlawfully in a dwelling house, notes a media release from the Orillia OPP.
Upon further investigation, police learned the female suspect was wanted on a warrant and the 15-year-old male was in possession of drugs, a weapon and "large amounts of Canadian currency."
The 15-year-old, whose identity is protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $ 5000 - in Canada
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unlawfully in dwelling house
Katie Lee Brittain, 28, of Orillia has been charged with:
- Fail to comply with probation (two counts)
- Unlawfully in dwelling house
- Possessing Counterfeit Money - have in custody
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 - in Canada
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Failure to attend court after having appeared
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (other than heroin)
Both accused parties were held for a bail hearing, police say.
