ORILLIA CONCERT ASSOCIATION

Tickets for the Orillia Concert Association’s long-awaited concert series for 2021-2022 are now available.
Our volunteers have been busy this past month contacting all our patrons for the coming season. For new subscribers, the entire series of five concerts is available at the very low and affordable cost of $70. If you would like tickets, you may now obtain them from the Orillia Opera House box office.
The coming season offers another exciting line-up of artists:
- Oct. 24: Sinfonia Toronto. On-line concert (can be accessed for 30 days)
- Nov. 28: Peter Stoll. On-line concert (can be accessed for 30 days)
- Feb. 20, 2022: Sonic Escape at 2:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church
- March 2022: To be announced. Orillia Opera House
- May 1, 2022: Toronto All-Star Big Band at 2:30 p.m.at Orillia Opera House
Unfortunately, we have learned that the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, scheduled to perform in March of 2022, is not able to perform this year due to COVID restrictions placed on them by the Department of Defence.
We are in discussions with them regarding a potential date in the following year for their performance. Meantime, we are working hard to find a suitable replacement.
As the Opera House is opening on a limited basis only at this time, the first two concerts this year will be virtual. With the expectation that COVID restrictions will lessen in 2022, the final three concerts of this coming year will be in person.
We expect that masks will still be required and that anyone attending the concerts in person will be expected to be fully vaccinated. The Opera House does have the capability of live streaming the concert for those unable to attend in person. We hope you will be able to join us for these wonderful performances.
