A new Starbucks location is set to open this month inside the Zehrs grocery store in Orillia.
Zehrs store manager Laurie Hawert says the coffee shop will bring a new element to the shopping experience.
“As you walk in, you will get some of the aromas and see it being made, and now you will be able to enjoy that during your shopping experience,” she said.
The location will open daily at 7 a.m., which will be to the delight of commuters, Hawert said.
“You can pop in, grab a coffee, and maybe something to go for lunch,” she suggested.
“Our staff are excited about this and we are all looking forward to it."
Hawert has worked in other Loblaws locations that feature Starbucks and in her experience, it can make the store a busier spot.
“It will bring people that are used to having a Starbucks, and it will bring people who may have never tried it before and might be curious to try this new experience,” she said.
“It will even appeal to a lot of our younger customers who are in high school and like the frappuccino and a different style of drink.”
Hawert believes the Orillia Zehrs Starbucks location will be opening on Sept. 13.
