Amy Robert, owner of The Rind and Truckle in downtown Orillia, says the community has embraced the store since it opened this summer.

The Rind and Truckle in downtown Orillia is cheesey - by design.

Amy Robert opened the artisanal cheese shop on Mississaga Street this summer.

"We supply Orillia with charcuterie boards, tonnes of fantastic cheese ... that's what we are," she explained of her unique Orillia shop.

Robert and her family had a cottage in the area and had been visiting Orillia for years.

"Every time we would come, I'd bring cheese," she explained, which seemed "silly."

She said that exposed a need in the marketplace and it's why the store has been a "great fit" in Orillia, which has embraced the concept and the store, Robert explained.

The store has a "really cozy atmosphere" that is welcoming to all, she said..
