One woman was injured in an early-morning house fire in Orillia Friday morning.
Crews from the Orillia Fire Department were dispatched to a "structure fire" at a Crawford Street home this morning at 5:46 a.m.
Orillia Fire Chief Michael Clark said there were two occupants in the home; both had escaped prior to the fire department's arrival. One of the occupants was transported to Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.
Clark said the fire was contained to the home's living room.
"The fire in the living room was quickly extinguished by firefighters, keeping the damage contained to the room of origin," Clark told OrilliaMatters.
Despite that, he estimates about $100,000 in damages to the single-family home.
Clark said 11 firefighters battled the early-morning fire.
