Channel Cat swimmers put skills to the test in Bracebridge

Many local swimmers achieved personal best times at recent competition

ORILLIA CHANNEL CATS SWIM CLUB

The Orillia Channel Cats Swim Club recently competed in the Muskats Splash Meet 2 in Bracebridge.

Swimmers from junior novice, senior novice and bronze were in attendance.

Swimmers participated in a few new events, achieved some personal best times and there were a few swimmers who were at their very first competition. Coaches are proud of your efforts, swimmers.

Junior novice swimmers in attendance: Ralph Woergerer, Tobias Woergerer, Elias Fisher, Max Mooney, Reid Clarke, Cheyenne Hawrysio, Peyton Pendelbury, Jace Black, Everett Dorevich, Josie Hare, Ivy Lowry, Kinsley Dreidger, Maya Favaro, Maya Guller, Harrison Sibley, Aiden Homan, James Grieve and Margot Cameron.

Senior novice swimmers who participated include Emony Fisher, Caden Stuart, Rydaar Watt, Riley Shore, Christopher Dorevich, Leah Guller, Ava Fairgrieve, Hartley Russell, Mila Sekleski, Georgia Cameron, Caden McParland and Emma Edgerton.

Bronze swimmers who attended were Fedor Radzievskii, Isabella Brown and Harrison Levene.

Up next for the swim club is the Ontario Youth Junior Championships Feb. 16 to 19 in Etobicoke as well as Ontario Winter Festivals Feb. 18 to 19 in Markham.
