Hat tricks rain down during Little Lady Kings' regular season finale

The regular season came to an end Monday night; Next week, champions will be determined through playoff battles

The regular season in Orillia Lady Kings Houseleague play came to an end last night as teams battled fiercely to see who would be playing for bragging rights next week in playoff battles.

Opening the night in Little Lady Kings play would see Orillia KIA drench McGregor on the Water by a 5-3 score. Ryley Crowther recorded a hat trick, while Kyah Thompson would add a pair for the auto dealers and Pyper McDonald would do all the scoring for her team registering her own hat trick.

Game 2 would see Champlain Ready Mix defeat Dr. Hillson Eye Care Orillia by a 4-1 margin. Pacing the victors would be Briar Wakelin recording another hat trick, while Hayden Daly scored as well to cement the win. Langley Duffy-Wilkie would be the lone goal-getter for the optometrist crew.

U11 action would see Northern Elite Lacrosse eke out a narrow 5-3 win over Kutting Edge Promotions Inc. as hat trick efforts continued with Mya Roe adding her name to the list in the win. Tessa Patterson and Emilija Ligers added singles. Ryleigh McGuire with a pair and Kaydence Thompson replied for the swag gang.

Another close battle would see Mariposa Landscaping edge Freeman’s AutoSource 5-4. Billie Rouse with a pair and singles from Rayne Noganosh, Samantha Harper and Ellie Lynch were enough offence for the winners while Emersyn McLaughlin with two and Ava Wara and Anna Fagan rounding out the U11 scoring on the evening. 

Scoring pace picked up in U15 houseleague division play as Orillia Power had an electrifying 10-1 victory over West Street Storage. Grace Wakeley and Willow Davidson each scored three goals while Sarah Fagan added a pair herself in the win. Claire Kudar, Danika Tindale each scored single markers as well. Grace Silverthorn would be the lone goal getter for the storage crew.

BMG Glass and Aluminum got two-goal efforts from the sticks of Paige Paddon, Grace McLelland and Mia Wakelin in their 9-5 over TD Canada Trust. Rounding out the wining team scoring would see Alyssa Borland, Mira Cresanto and Ava-Holly Elliot chipping in as well on offence. Sister act Hailey (3G) and Melanie Decock (2G) were all the offence mustered by the bankers.

Finally, U15 competitive would see TJS Sheet Metal and Meridian Credit Union play to a 7-7 draw. Catherine Varley had a hat trick effort while two goals each from Emma Marwick and Hayley Ball accounted for the TJS scoring. Eleanor Waite, Jayden Taylor and Mayson Parnell each had two-goal efforts and Bethany Marchant added her own goal pacing the Meridian team scoring.

The final game of the evening would see plenty of goals and action as Peak Engineering walloped Bradley Homes by a 17-5 margin. Keeping with the hat trick theme, Anna Lajoie, Ryley Black, Olivia Glass, Makenna Maracle and Jayden Maracle each recorded hat tricks while Jade Shilling added her two goal spin on the evening's action. Not to be outdone on the hat trick barrage, Emma Dongelmans had her own while Jorja Hedges and Brooke Sonnenberg would finish off the goals scoring stats on the evening.
