ORILLIA HAWKS SENIOR C LADIES

The Orillia Hawks Senior C ladies squad won four of five games in the 2018 West Northumberland Halloween Havoc tournament, skating to the championship crown in the weekend tournament.
In Game 1 the Hawks beat the host West Northumberland team by a score of 4-0. Orillia goals were scored by Jessi Cranney and Mikayla Rae while Caitlin Kubiseski netted a pair. Assists went to Caitlyn Attridge, Cora Armstrong and Betsy Maus.
Game 2 against Glouchester ended with the Hawks prevailing 3-0. The goals were scored by Brittney Bince, Megan Allore and Caitlyn Atrridge. Assists: Kubiseski (3), Crystal Ferguson and Carly Payne.
The Hawks continued to soar in game 3 when they edged West Northumberland B 2-1 in a nail biter. Orillia goals were scored by Kubiseski and Mikayla Rae. Assists went to Bince, Armstrong and Jessi Cranney.
The only blemish in the tournaemnt came in the girls’ fourth game against the Baltimore Ladies B, who prevailed 4-1. Kubiseski scored the team’s lone goal in the defeat, with assists to Cranney, Armstrong and Attridge.
But the Hawks rebounded in the championship game versus the Glouchester Ladies as they recorded a 2-0 victory to earn the title. Both goals were scored by Kubiseski with an assist by Danielle Jeffreys.
It was a great start to the season.
