The Orillia peewee Hawks Black Team won gold in Oshawa at the 18th annual Oshawa Lady Generals Winter Classic Tournament this past weekend.

The girls started the tournament against a tough Barrie White team and earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

That was followed by wins over two Oshawa teams and one from Peterborough on the way to a rematch against the Barrie White team for the championship.

This game would mark the fourth time these two teams have met this season and after an amazing hard-fought battle, the Hawks won 1-0 with their third shutout of the tournament.

Congratulations Hawks!

The team would also like to gratefully acknowledge their sponsor, Waggs LTD.
