The Orillia Lakers U15 boys won the Hoop City Basketball League crown earlier this year. This weekend the team is hosting the top teams in the province at a tournament at Orillia Secondary School.

The Orillia Lakers U15 boys will host the top teams in the province this Saturday at Orillia Secondary School. The Lakers earned a spot in OBL-X Pool A and host the first set of games as the season kicks off.

The Lakers' first game, at 10:30 a.m., is a rematch of the championship game from Division 1 provincials last season in which Cooksville defeated the Lakers. The Lakers’ second game, against Milton Stags Elite, last year’s division 2 champions, is at 6 p.m.

The OSS gym will have great action all day with Toronto Lords, Brothers’ Keeper, and KW Vipers also in attendance.

All are welcome to come out and support these great young athletes, said Lakers coach Galen Plett.
