The Casino Rama Lawn Bowling Tournament took place Saturday with teams from across the area competing for the Casino Rama trophy at the season-ending tournament at the Orillia Lawn Bowling Club.

A delicious lunch was prepared by the Orillia club for participants and guests to enjoy.

Among the many participants at the well-attended event was Orillia’s Greg Irvine, who recently won the District 13 Novice Tournament. He will now advance to the provincial finals later this month, where he will represent Orillia against some of the top young competitors in Ontario.

After three games of terrific bowling Saturday, the team of Cindy Higgins and Betty Robitaille won the Casino Rama trophy.

Second place went to Len Bishop and Gord Travis from Lindsay.

Third place went to Bob Scruton and Beth Willouby from Barrie, while fourth place went to Orillia's Raj Rajalingam and Marv Hebner (Midland).

Fifth place went to Orillia’s Robb Barsevich and Greg Irvine.

Casino Rama donated dinner vouchers that were won by Jane Moore and Bruce Lowe.
