Toronto’s Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre was the battleground for the highly anticipated WAKO Kickboxing provincial championships.

Amidst fierce competition, Orillia’s Black Lotus Kickboxing and Muay Thai Academy shone bright as two of their athletes claimed gold in their weight divisions.

Noah Redmond exhibited exceptional prowess, clinching the men’s 81-kilogram provincial championship with a hard-earned unanimous decision.

Meanwhile, McKenna “Tiger Girl” Van Allen’s relentless determination secured her the women’s open class gold, also earning her the prestigious title of top female athlete of the tournament.

Though Spencer Tofts narrowly missed gold in his inaugural provincial bout, he returned home with a silver medal, enriching his experience and fortifying his resolve.

Preparations are already underway for their upcoming event on Jan. 20 in Rama, hosted by Black Lotus Kickboxing and sanctioned by WAKO Kickboxing.
