ORILLIA LAWN BOWLING CLUB

The final lawn bowling tournament of the year was held on Saturday, Sept. 10.
It was an open pairs event sponsored by Mr. Appliance Orillia. On a beautiful, sunny day, there was a full draw of 16 teams from bowling clubs from across our region.
The bowlers also enjoyed a delicious luncheon of pulled pork on a bun, prepared by club members. In addition to prizes to the tourney winners, the sponsors gave bowling towels to everyone who participated.
The winning team was Doug Hoff (Midland) and Greg Irvine (Orillia).
After a highly successful year of fun and competitive lawn Bowling, the final day for bowling will be Friday, Sept. 30. A meeting at the club is also planned for Sept. 28 to review the past year and plan for the next.
