Local rowers 'masterful' at provincial championship

Masters rowers win 11 gold, one silver and one bronze medal at event attended by 30 clubs from Ontario, U.S. and England

On Sunday, members of the Georgian Bay Rowing Club competed at the Row Ontario Masters Championships at the six-lane, 1000-metre Welland International Flatwater Course.
The Georgian Bay Masters were very successful, winning 11 gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the event attended by 30 clubs from Ontario, England and the U.S.
Members of the GBRC represent many communities in the area including Orillia, Gravenhurst, Orangeville, Midland, Rochester and Newmarket
The results are as follows:

Women’s Lightweight Single: Chris Huet Gold 3:59.584

Men’s C Pairs: Brad Ingleton and Will Greene Gold 3:39.834

Men’s D Quad: Dave Halpin, Bob Wink, Steve Ruttan and Jeff Garms Gold 3:22.509
