Local stars set to shine in midget all-star game

The Orillia Minor Hockey Association will be hosting the annual York-Simcoe Midget All-Star games on Sunday.

The Midget A game is at 1:30 p.m. and the Midget AA games goes at 3:45 p.m.; both games will be played at Rotary Place.

There will be some local stars hoping to shine in the A game. Five members of the Orillia Terriers squad, all in their final year of midget hockey, have been selected to play in the all-star contest: Goalie Wesley Douglas in addition to Wyatt Mountain, Owen Slemin, Cole Mawdsley and Zak Villeneuve.

That all-star squad will also be helmed by a pair of Orillians; Mike Borrelli will be the head coach and Cole Middaugh will serve as the assistant coach.

There is no admission fee for these games. However, fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable donation for The Sharing Place Food Bank.
