Orillia Channel Cats Swim Club member Blythe Wieclawek recently competed at Ontario Swimming Championships in Toronto.

Wieclawek competed in the 16-and-over category, posting close to personal best times and tried some different race strategies.

“Blythe is preparing for the Canadian Swimming Championships Aug. 1-6, where she will compete in the 100 backstroke, 50 butterfly, 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly and 50 backstroke. This provincial meet gave her the opportunity to race tired and to determine what she needs to focus on over the next few weeks," said head coach Meredith Thompson-Edwards.

Wieclawek made finals (top 10) in the 100 butterfly, placing 7th in the province, and was an alternate in the 100 backstroke, placing 11th.
