The Orillia Channel Cats Swim Club recently held their annual awards banquet to recognize their swimmers’ accomplishments over the season.

Various awards were handed out to swimmers who demonstrated qualities such as positive leadership, resiliency, perseverance, dedication, high work ethic, and responsibility.

Award recipients are as follows:

Swimmer Volunteer Appreciation Award

  • Jackson Denne, Katie Heckendorn, Kaitlyn Allin, Anna Holton, Evangeline Cooke, Adair Wieclawek, Esmee Rosati

Provincial Recognition Awards

  • Sophie Shivers, Nicolas Willis, Evangeline Cooke, Anna Holton, Taryn Fenton, Indiana Abram, Kael Cresanto, Blythe Wieclawek

Awards of Merit

  • Senior novice: Cohen Greer, Emma Edgerton, Christopher Dorevich, Nicolas Willis
  • Bronze: Niko Plett, Boyd Brown
  • Silver: Nadine Ackert, Grace Hunter, Sophia Brown
