The top curlers in the Orillia 2018 Ontario Winter Games received their medals Sunday, and a special guest was on hand to help hand them out.

Ontario Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Dowdeswell stopped at the Barnfield Point Recreation Centre during her first official visit to the city, where she awarded medals with Mayor Steve Clarke. Watch for full results at orillia2018.ca.

Dowdeswell then made her way to Swanmore Hall, where she mingled with the audience following an address to the crowd.

For coverage of that event, check in with OrilliaMatters Monday morning.
