In our weekly Meet the Terriers segment, we turn the spotlight on blueliner Lucas Wessinger.

The McLean & Dickey Orillia Terriers have been on pause for the Christmas break and have not seen game action since Dec. 18.

The Terriers (14-5-1) were supposed to clash with Schomberg on Dec. 23, but that game has been postponed.

The Terriers are not back on the ice until Jan. 2 in Alliston. Orillia returns to home ice Saturday, Jan. 8 when Stayner will visit Rotary Place for a 7:30 p.m. contest.

Orillia has slipped to fourth place, but it’s a tight race between the top four teams in the North Carruthers division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League as the four squads are separated by just three points.

Proof of double vaccination is required to attend the games in person.

For more information about the Terriers, their games and their season, visit their website.

Since COVID-19 wiped out last season, many fans are not familiar with this year's team, so we will provide player profiles every Thursday.

Today, we feature blueliner Lucas Wessinger, who has two goals and four assists in 14 games so far this season.
