Several former North Central Predators alumni, who now play in the OHL, will be participating in the hockey game next week

Join us at the Allandale Recreational Centre in Barrie on Wednesday, July 26 at 5 p.m. for the 8th annual Mind to Muscle Cup. This year, M2M is partnering with Purolator, OHL Barrie Colts, Barrie Colts AAA Hockey Association, and the North Central Predator Hockey Association to support local the Foodbank and tackle hunger in our community.

During the event, Purolator and their local Tackle Hunger Team will be collecting non-perishable donations at the venue. We encourage everyone to bring a donation and contribute to this worthy cause.

Locally in Orillia, the North Central Predator Association will be collecting donations and dropping them off at Orillia Sports Medicine. Several former NCP Alumni who now play in the OHL will be participating in the hockey game.

In addition to the food drive, attendees will have the opportunity to watch M2M and Orillia Sports Medicine athletes in action during the M2M Cup 2023. These athletes, who have honed their skills at these two training facilities, will showcase their talent on the ice. The game will feature top players from various leagues including pro, OHL, NCAA, and CIS.

This exciting event is completely free for all to attend. For those who attend the event, Charlie Horse from the Barrie Colts will be present, free popcorn and Domino's pizza will be available for those who bring a food donation (while supplies last). The main focus of the event is a fast-paced and competitive hockey game, showcasing the exceptional talent of local hockey players. Our primary goal is to assist the Barrie Food Bank by restocking their shelves and helping those in need.

We need your help to make a difference! Come and enjoy the thrilling speed and skill displayed by these elite local hockey players while bringing along a food donation. Admission to the event is free, so don't miss out!

The Sharing Place Food Centre in Orillia is, a Community Food Centre supported by local residents, it plays a vital role in providing access to healthy food for women, men, and children that are food insecure.

Chris Peacock, the Executive Director, reveals that food bank usage has increased by 38 per cent compared to last year, with over 1,800 individuals relying on their food support every month. They also provide food to 28 local schools, feeding 4,500 kids a day through the school's breakfast and snack programs.
