ORILLIA CHANNEL CATS SWIM CLUB

The Orillia Channel Cats Swim Club recently travelled to Brantford to compete in the Brantford Aquatic Club Long Course Invitational.
Forty-seven swimmers from senior novice, bronze, silver and gold were in attendance.
“Our swimmers raced quite well, achieving a lot of personal best times,” says head coach Meredith Thompson-Edwards.

Long course club record breakers:
- Sam Pecrorella, 13/14 male 400-metre individual medley
- Brady Bell, 10 and under male 200-metre freestyle and 400-metre freestyle
- Jace Black, 10 and under male 100-metre freestyle and 200-metre backstroke
Long course Provincial Festival qualifiers:
- Hartley Russell, 100-metre freestyle and 100-metre breaststroke
- Cheyanne Hawrysio, 100-metre breaststroke
- Anna Crawley-Blauel, 100-metre freestyle, 100-metre backstroke, 50-metre freestyle, 100-metre breaststroke and 200-metre individual medley
- Everett Dorevich, 200-metre backstroke
