The U18 McKee Tirecraft (Innisfil) Orillia Hawks recently ended their season as champions of the Queen of the House tournament in Aurora.

An invitational tournament for house league champions across the Greater Toronto Area, this is the first year that the Simcoe Muskoka Girls Hockey League team has participated in this tournament.

All games were hard fought, but the Orillia squad came out on top with wins against Oakville (4-1), Clarington (3-2), and in the final against Central York (2-1).

For many of the players, this was their last game as an Orillia Hawk, after six to 10 years playing together. Thanks to the coaching and bench staff for an amazing season!
