Pair of Orillia rowers shine at world indoor championships

Orillia's Molly Hazel finished 35th in a field of 115 people, with a time of 8:03.0 minutes in the under-17 women's category at the World Indoor Rowing Championships Feb. 25-26 in Mississauga.

Emma Botari, also from Orillia, was 18th in a field of 57 with a personal best time of 7:35.5 minutes in the women's 17-18 division. 

Orillia rowers have been training at the Orillia Recreation Centre as part of their winter training program under coach Anne Hodkin. 

Next up for the Orillia Rowing Club indoor competitors is the Ontario indoor championships in St. Catharines.
