Orillia senior slo-pitch team crowned at year-end tournament

Orillia squad also won the league championship before capping their stellar season with three straight wins to capture Simcoe-Muskoka title

The Orillia National Nutrition senior slo-pitch team won the year-end tournament in Barrie recently. The Orillia National Nutrition senior slo-pitch team followed up their recent league championship by winning the Simcoe-Muskoka year-end tournament held at the Barrie Sports Complex.

The Orillia squad eked out a first game win over Bracebridge/Huntsville. Their second game was a more convincing win over the third-place Barrie Blue team, setting up the final game against their rival Barrie Kage team who also won their first two games in the A division pool.  

Orillia came out swinging, coupled with some stellar defensive outfield plays, to win the final game 14-4 to capture the tournament title.  

Midland/Penetang won the B division pool.
