With two convincing wins over the Wasaga Beach Warriors this past week, Orillia's National Nutrition local senior softball squad remains one point behind first place Barrie Kage and two points ahead of third place Barrie Blue. Wasaga Beach, Penetang/Midland and Bracebridge/Huntsville and vying for fourth place just past the half-season mark.
National Nutrition will face the visiting Barrie Blue seniors next Tuesday morning at Tudhope Park in Orillia.
The regular season continues until the first week of September with a year-end season tournament planned for the Barrie Sports Complex in Midhurst during the second week of September.
Recently, National Nutrition player/coach, Wayne Martin, presented Orillia Mens and Ladies SloPitch League with a new safety base in consideration of past support offered by the league.
