Two area golfers hit aces recently at Orillia's Hawk Ridge Golf Club.
After more than 60 years of golfing without scoring an ace, Ted LaPalm scored his second hole in one this season on Aug. 9.
LaPalm hit an 8-iron 135 yards on the 13th hole on the Meadow Nest course at Hawk Ridge. The shot was witnessed by Dianne LaPalm.
Paul Ryan of Barrie, while golfing with Wendy Roberts and Hawk Ridge members Liz and Fred Gilbert, scored his third career hole in one on Friday Aug. 14.
Ryan hit a 52-degree gap wedge 117 yards on the 8th hole of the Meadow Nest course at Hawk Ridge.
To date, there have been 11 reported holes in one this season at Hawk Ridge.
