The Orillia Peewee 1 Peterbilt Kings won all six of their games in Niagara-on-the-Lake over the weekend to earn the gold medal at the tourney.

In the first game, Orillia defeated St. Catharines 2 by a score of 10-3. Orillia's offence was led by Hunter McLaughlin (3g, 1a), Jake Curran (2g, 3a), Max Schryer (2g), Devun Colebrook (2g), Will Cousineau (1g), Brycen Murray (3a), Zeke Neely (1a), Cole Balkwill (1a), and Chase Beiers earned an assist and the win in net.

In the second game of the day, Orillia took an early lead and did not look back as they defeated West Durham 13-2. Colebrook (3g, 2a), Curran (2g, 2a), Michael Murphy (2g), Nate Fogarty (1g, 1a), H. McLaughlin (1g, 1a), Bennett MacKey (1g, 1a), Max Schyer (1g, 1a), Carter McLaughlin (1g), Hunter Coolbear (1g), Evan Gliddon (4a), Murray (2a), and Neely (1a). Hunter Holmes had an assist and got the win in net.

Early Saturday morning, the Kings faced the home team, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and won 10-4. Point getters were Colebrook (3g), Curran (2g, 2a), H. McLaughlin (1g, 3a), Neely (1g, 1a), Fogarty (1g, 1a), MacKey (1g), Coolbear (1g), Murray (1a), Balkwill (1a), and C.McLaughlin (1a). Beiers played in net.

In the afternoon, Orillia faced Lincoln, and dominated the entire game and earned a decisive 17-1 win. Coolbear (3g), H. McLaughlin (2g, 3a), Schryer (2g, 1a), Murphy (1g, 5a), Gliddon (1g, 3a), Fogarty (1g, 1a), C. McLaughlin (1g, 1a), Kai Patterson (1g, 1a), MacKey (1g, 1a), Balkwill (1g), Colebrook (1g, 4a), Marcus Petroff (1g, 1a), Curran (1g, 1a), Murray (2a), Neely (2a). Holmes earned the win in net.

The Kings earned the top seed and once again would face Niagara-on-the-Lake in the semi finals, winning 11-3. Leading the offence was H. McLaughlin (2g, 3a), Neely (1g), Coolbear (1g, 1a), Curran (1g, 1a), Balkwill (1g, 1a), Schryer (1g), Patterson (1g), Colebrook (1g, 2a), Gliddon (1g, 2a), Mackey (1g, 1a), Petroff (1a), Fogarty (1a), Murray (1a). Beiers was in net.

In the finals, Orillia had their closest game of the season against Cornwall. At the end of three periods the score was tied 5-5. The Kings would head into sudden death overtime and with four minutes remaining, Hunter McLaughlin scored the game winner from Carter McLaughlin and Brycen Murray. In addition to the overtime goal was Gliddon (2g, 1a), Fogarty (1g), Neely (1g), H. McLaughlin (1g, 2a), Murray (2a), C. McLaughlin (1a), Colebrook (1a). Both Holmes and Beiers played in net.
